Our chickens are fed a healthy, traditional diet of non-GMO corn, soybean meal, vegetable oil, and important vitamins and minerals.
What do you feed your chickens?
How are your chickens raised?
Our chickens are hatched, raised and harvested in accordance with the rigorous standards set forth by the National Chicken Council and the USDA Process Verified Program. Learn more about these standards here.
We grow our chickens in large open structures, with continuous access to food, water, and natural light. Our flocks are not outdoor free-roaming, as chickens are vulnerable to both predators and disease. Such biosecurity measures are critical to ensuring the health of the flock, especially since our chickens are raised with no antibiotics.
Do you inject your chicken with additives, salts, solutions, or marinades?
All of our chicken products are 100% chicken. No salt or any other solutions are added. We do offer a variety of delicious, marinated items, such as our Applewood or Spicy Asian marinated products. Learn more here.
Are your products gluten free?
As a single-ingredient product (no added anything), our chicken is gluten free. We do offer a variety of delicious, marinated items, such as our Applewood or Spicy Asian marinated products. Learn more here.
How do I defrost chicken?
The best and safest way to thaw chicken is slowly in the refrigerator. This can take 24-36 hours, so plan ahead. You can also immerse the product into cold water; be sure to change out the water every half hour to make sure it’s cold. We strongly recommend our consumers never thaw poultry in a microwave or at room temperature.
How do I determine if my saddle-pack chicken is still good?
Our fresh chicken is best used within 15 days after the pack date. For more information, check our pack date tool.
